Fern Cottage


In 1991/2 we lost a cottage on Winchester Road opposite the Black Dog.

The cottage was at right angles to the main road set back along a small track.  You can see it marked on the map image below. There are just shrubs there now band the drive runs up to the new bungalow with the same name.

I would love to know more about the type of brickwork used in the building of Fern Cottage. It has darker, regularly spaced, bricks. There are several houses in Waltham Chase with this look.    Anyone know about these things?
