RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER
The RFO is responsible for all aspects of the Parish Council’s finances, and provides an excellent opportunity for the appropriate candidate. You must be experienced in computerised accounting although you will receive training on the Council’s bespoke accounting system.
10 hours per week (flexible)
Remuneration £19,161 to £21,898 f.t.e.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with Chair of Finance to ensure Council needs are met
Managing cash flow and bank transfers
Preparing financial reports for Committees and Council meetings
Preparing accounts for audit
Paying invoices, accepting payments and maintaining the audit trail
Organising pay, tax, NI etc for all employees of the Council
Monitoring compliance with Council’s financial regulations
Monitoring compliance with current audit and accounting regulations
Working closely and effectively with the Parish Clerk and Assistant Clerk.
