History Group – 1st December

Dear Fellow History Lovers
Here are the details of our December meeting on Tuesday, 1st December 2015 at the Methodist Church, Curdridge Lane, Waltham Chase at 7.30pm

Many thanks to all of you who have already offered help on the night, all assistance will be most welcomed and really help the evening go off with a swing.

For our social evening this year, we would like to ask all those who have supported and enjoyed our meetings during this year to bring along a small plate of food, these will be arranged on a large table at the back of the room for everyone to enjoy during our break later in the evening.

Ideas for these plates could be:- sausage rolls, mince pies, mini sausages, cheese savouries, scotch eggs, veggie nibbles, crackers, breadsticks, cheese straws, any finger food in fact that doesn’t need cooking.

There will be a quiz, featuring some questions based on our talks this year, so I hope you have all been paying attention!!  We will be also be hearing about some of our Christmas traditions and how they started, not to be missed I am sure you agree.  Finally there will be your chance to try your luck at Christmas Cracker jokes, so get your thinking caps on!!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, 1st December, there will be no charge for this meeting, just bring along your small plate of food and have fun!

If you know any of our supporters who are not on the e-mailing list, please let them know or ask them to contact any of the committee members.  It will also be your chance to pick up your copy of our 2016 programme.

Many thanks

Linda – 01489 896690
Brian and Viv – 01489 895901
Jane – 01489 893817
