Parish Clerk job opportunity


PARISH CLERK 

You will have proven organisational skills in your previous roles with an analytical approach to problem solving. You will show a highly proactive attitude to ensure that queries are resolved quickly and deadlines are met.

Approx 22.5 hours per week (flexible)Remuneration – f.t.e. £20,074 – £23,724)

Main duties and responsibilities

Working closely with Councillors and other staff to plan and implement the aims and objectives of the Council

Ensuring Council’s instructions, in connection with its function as a local authority, are carried out

Advising/assisting in the formation of policies

Producing information required by Council to assist in effective decision making

Being present at Council meetings – usually Monday evenings

Preparation of agendas, minutes  etc

 Key Skills and Attributes required

Good organisational and problem solving skills

Able to plan and manage workload in order of priority using own initiative

Able to work as an effective team member

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience using software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to work with a diverse range of people

Able to work with constraints by using resources creatively

Willingness to acquire new skills to cope with change

Accuracy and attention to detail
