W.I. April report

At this months meeting we celebrated our 40th Birthday and we commenced the meeting singing Jerusalem.  We welcomed members from other WIs and passed around birthday cards. Our Speaker Jean Lewis was introduced and began her talk on”Creative embroidery using recycles items”.  She showed many of her creations which were beautifully crafted from items such as plastic bags, jay clothes, wrapping paper and disposable nappies! Most completed with heavy stitching. We all agreed she was a very talented lady.

We continued the evening with buffet food supplied by all the ladies and two Birthday cakes made by Linda and Brenda, accompanied by Pomegranate bucks fizz.  We finished the evening confirming outings, meals out and afternoon tea in the village Hall café.

If you would like to join us we are in the village hall on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7.15pm.  Our next meeting is our AGM, where we will be asking for new committee members.
