Shirrell Heath – fighting to keep the Prince of Wales Open

The owners of the Shirrell Heath pub, the Prince of Wales, want to close it, and sell the site for development. Landlords Andy and Debbie want to continue on at the pub, opening it as a Free House, but need a cash guarantee to do so. Local supporters have already raised nearly £10,000, in just 10 days, but further help is needed!

What can I do?

Come to a meeting at the Prince of Wales at 7.15 on Wednesday 13 June. There will be an explanation of the plans for the pub and the financial arrangements, and you will be able to contribute to help secure a long-term future for the Prince of Wales.

The Prince of Wales pub has been serving Shirrell Heath for 140+ years. Let’s make sure it stays open!

For further information please contact: Andy and Debbie at the pub or look at our new and evolving Facebook site at www.facebook.com/princeofwalessh

recently visited this pub while staying at a local hotel. greeted with a warm welcome, tasted their great food. I do hope that as well as visiting the area, the locals support their local, and hope the landlord/ landlady, keep on with trading. love to go back and visit soon.

I know this isn’t about our village but it would be a shame for them to lose something of their history.
